I went to the library the other day and found a good book pertaining to architecture, A Guide to Site and Environmental Planning by Harvey M. Rubestein. If you tend to get overwhelmed and don't know where to start or what to look for when it comes to site analysis and how the surrounding environment relates to your building it is a must read. Also talks about city planning and is relatable to architecture, landscape architecture, civil engineering and city and site planners. Coupled with How Buildings Work by Edward Allen, it works great.
