The Index Is Being Updated

The Index is being updated over this winter break. It should be fuller and more easy to access. It also corresponds with the notes and has a shortcut for researching anything else you may need. The information on the tools below also work for all documents on Google

The Perfect Games for Halloween Night

Just out of boredom, and after coming across the image of Sonic to the left I looked up the best games to play for nice Halloween thrill after dark. Great way to pass the time waiting for (or ignoring) those pesky trick or treaters.

According to Xbox's blog:

  1. Resident Evil 4
  2. Resident Evil Code: Veronica
  3. Rise of Nightmares
  4. Dark Souls
  5. Batman: Arkham City
  6. Catherine
  7. Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone
  8. Dead Island
  1. Dead Space
  2. Siren Blood Curse
  3. Bioshock
  4. Silent Hill: Homecoming
  5. Condemned 2
What do you think? What are the best games for Halloween Night?

Rattlers for Obama | Ride to the Polls

The Rattlers for Obama are giving students free rides to the Leon County Courthouse all this week between 9 am to 5 pm. The bus shows up on the set every hour to pick up students.

Be sure to have your ID cards and voter registration cards ready (if you have you have one). Everyone above the age of 18 needs to go and vote. Currently Romney is in the lead for the state of Florida.

Early voting takes place in the Leon County Courthouse from 7 am to 7 pm up until November 3rd.

Regular voting starts November 6th from 7 am to 7 pm and is located at the precinct you are registered for. If you are a FAMU student but have not previously registered to vote before attending FAMU, your precinct is probably the Grand Ballroom.

Rattlers for Obama are also looking for volunteers to man information desks on the set. Free pins for those who sign up to volunteer for at least an hour.

A Good Read

I went to the library the other day and found a good book pertaining to architecture, A Guide to Site and Environmental Planning by Harvey M. Rubestein. If you tend to get overwhelmed and don't know where to start or what to look for when it comes to site analysis and how the surrounding environment relates to your building it is a must read. Also talks about city planning  and is relatable to architecture, landscape architecture, civil engineering and city and site planners. Coupled with How Buildings Work by Edward Allen, it works great.

Streetview reaches new limits

Ever wanted to see the interiors of those buildings you've never gotten a chance to visit? Turns out Goolge Street View now not only is useful for viewing streets, the facades of buildings and deer the Googlemobile ran over while capturing that scenic 3D view we have all come to love. As of recently, it now views further than the street and into those distant buildings we used to see on the sides of the street. Thats right, the White House, The Alps, you name it. Who wants to see large speeding automobiles and your neighbors dog in plain sight but the building youre really interested in off in the far distance? We couldve took a gander at our driveway for that.

"We repeat, this is just a test..."

Hey you guys, this is just an experimental blog about keeping up with content for classes we are currently taking and possibly providing extra content for those classes. Ideas include a virtual calendar showing upcoming deadlines that might have slipped into the back of our heads, tips on other classes and computer programs we commonly use, any news about internships, job opportunities, upcoming events, organizational meetings etc. (we'll let you know of anything we hear) and any other possible LEGAL content we can provide, like study content for classes (study guides, quizzes, etc). We all know how hard it is to keep track of all this stuff on our own, thats why we're here to help.

We are architecture majors at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University It is a very busy major where we could use all the help we all can get and we realize that woprking together is the best way to get through and we would like to help you guys out. We know how hard it is trying to get help from your fellow program mates (if thats even a word) and end up being stuck in a hole because no one was willing enough to help for whatever reason. We're here for you you guys.

We're still trying to get this blog off the ground, it was pretty much a brand new idea after getting tired of blackboard not having everything and trying to check our famails (which we all know can be a pain).

Questions? Comments? Suggestions? Tips?
We would love to hear from you guys

Sincerely,
Kim Robinson - kimberlie.robinson@gmail.com

Thanks
